Dr Ben J. Searle
Ben is an organisational psychologist, stress expert, consultant, researcher, author, and speaker.
He received a Ph.D. in psychology from the University of NSW (2001), worked at Macquarie University from 2002-2021, and has published dozens of articles and chapters in peer-reviewed journals and books, and has given even more research presentations at conferences.
Ben had been researching the causes and consequences of workplace stress for over 20 years before personal experience of burnout forced him to leave academia in 2021. This was a rough time, but with it came new insights into burnout and management of psychological health and safety!
These days, he provides professional services in such areas as management of psychosocial risks and development of psychological scales and survey tools. He is an engaging and entertaining communicator, and often writes and speaks about burnout and psychological health and safety.
